The theme of this year's festival, "Commonplaces," invites you to explore the power of the everyday as a counterbalance to sensationalist imagery. Discover the works of a new generation of emerging photographers who subtly capture the phenomena of our environment and daily life, which may otherwise go unnoticed. As the long-standing host of the Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography, we are particularly proud to welcome Collectif le Salon this year. Under the title "Stammtisch," they present an installation delving deep into the symbolism of traditional meeting spaces.

Photoforum is proud to present, in the group exhibition Prix Photoforum 2032, the works of eleven outstanding artists. These artists address the pressing issues of our time. Together, they explore and expand the boundaries of what photography is and can be today. As a diverse group of artists, each of them presents their own visual language. What unites them is their critical view of the world around us. They use the medium of photography to question societal issues and current challenges in the world. At the same time, they explore how these themes impact on a personal level, navigating between local, historical, symbolic, emotional, and physical perspectives.
