Manipulation is at the centre of this workshop. Pervaded by fake news, ideals of beauty constructed by the media, and misconceptions, images largely construct our view of the world. After a brief introduction by the artist using examples from advertising, politics and social media, where pictures are mass-manipulated for various purposes, the participants themselves learn to forge pictures and transform them into art.

David Zehnder (*1978 in Brig, lives and works in Basel) is an award-winning photography and video artist. He is interested in visual litteracy and sociological themes and moves along the fine line between documentation and art. Zehnder is represented by the CE Contemporary Galerie in Milan. His work has been exhibited internationally, including in Berlin, Milan, Moscow, Paris and Vienna.
