How can photography change our perception of social challenges?

This second tour of the Prix Photoforum will explore how new documentary photography is evolving to address pressing social, environmental, and political issues, focusing on four featured artists:

Khashayar Javanmardi (Southern Reflection) draws attention to the environmental crisis in the Caspian Sea region with emotionally charged photographs that highlight both ecological and socio-political consequences.

Jordi Ruiz Cirera (Where the Line Blurs) provides an intimate view of life along Mexico’s northern border, documenting the complex realities of migration and conflict.

Tiziana Amico (Nunca Fui Adolescente) captures the multifaceted lives of adolescent mothers in Argentina, offering a deeply personal and collaborative perspective.

Yann Haeberlin (Home) focuses on invasive species and ecological imbalances, questioning humanity’s increasingly strained relationship with nature.
